Originally I thought I would be a ceramic artist, making magnificent, large vases and bowls. Although after some broken bones this dream seemed to be a bit farther from reality than I ever thought. For physical and mental therapy, to rehab my broken spirit and bones, I began making jewelry.
I had always loved creating jewelry, although this time, it was a completely different. The air smelled sweeter, the sun brighter; It was my version of heaven. For me jewelry making is a soothing, blissful experience. I strive to bestow those emotions and sensations to the wearer and reflect those feelings by using unique, refreshing color combinations, faceted natural gems, and a blending of metals. I want the wearer to feel how I feel, I want the sunshine to be brighter for them as well! Through the process of jewelry creation, I have realized that size does not matter; That you do not have to create a huge vase to make it important or meaningful. It is the soul and heart behind the art that defines its significance.
